There are 10-12 children in each group for the pony camps.
Three camps to choose from
Each of the three camps, multi/pony/secondary school only, run each week throughout July and August.
Camping
The Wickedly Wonderful Camp is based in a very pretty field near the water. We sleep and eat in a variety of tents; there are large tents to eat in (teepees) and tents to sleep in. Some tents sleep 6-8 and smaller ones can sleep 2 and 3 or 4 persons.
The tents are segregated for boys & girls.
If anyone wants to bring his or her own tent, that’s great!
The washroom facilities & toilets for both girls and boys are within close proximity to the tents. There are porta loos and outdoor showers.
There is a member of staff available for the children throughout the night.
Transport
There is transport to and from Camp Base and London. The London Bus will depart from South London on Monday morning at 8am and will return on Friday evening at 6pm.
Food
The food at Wickedly Wonderful is as healthy as can be and good (according to many; we make the best pasta bake ever!) and there will be plenty of it.
We use free range eggs for our eggy bread and egg sandwiches, organic carrots and cucumber at 4pm snack time (along with cake and apples), and 100% British beef burgers on our BBQ..
Breakfast will be served at camp, al fresco unless the weather disagrees. Breakfast options include: a selection of cereal, pastries, french toast and fruit juice.
Lunch is a picnic, at the beach, at the lake or at camp, depending on where the children are during the course of the day. Lunch options include: sandwiches/rolls or wraps of tuna, cheese, ham, marmite, jam or egg sandwiches, accompanied by fruit, crisps and a treat.
At 4pm tea time, the children can snack on carrots, apples, cucumber and cake.
Supper is at the camp base. This is always a good meal to ensure the children are fully satisfied: BBQs, pasta bake, spaghetti bolognese, sausages and chips.
There is a form once booked whereby you can let us know of any dietary requirements, allergies, and/or other concerns.
Please note Wickedly Wonderful is a nut free zone.
We are able to accept childcare vouchers.

Safety
Wickedly Wonderful holds an Adventure Activity Licensing Authority (AALA) license so our windsurfing and sailing activities follow strict guidelines and rules. We are frequently given inspections to ensure safety measures are met at all times. The sailing camp enjoys the Chichester Habour while the multi-activity camps go to West Hampnett Lake near Chichester.
The horse riding is outsourced to Hunters Lodge who are registered with West Sussex County Council, giving you the peace of mind that your children are safe while happy and active.
The AALA is a body that ensures you, the consumer, are provided with a system that gives you the legal reassurance you deserve as well as the reassurance that your children are doing activities that are controlled by strict safety guidelines. Please call the AALA on 02920 755 715 if you have any questions.
Most of the activities are done in and around the local area, eg. horse riding and sailing. The boogie boarding, beach games and campfires are on the beach at West Wittering, while golf is at the Chichester golf course, biking is along the Salterns Way, and crabbing is at Dell Quay. The rest of the activities take place within the camp grounds.
STAFF
All who work at Wickedly Wonderful are chosen for their fun, enthusiastic characters and for their experience with children. We make an energetic and responsible team. The small groups ensure that the children are constantly entertained with maximum attention.
The staff are monitored closely throughout the week and pass the following checks:
1) Police and criminal records checks (DBS) 2) References 3) Interview 4) Induction
The base camp for Wickedly Wonderful during the summer is near Chichester in West Sussex, on the coast. This is about 95 minutes from London at the end of the A3, near the city of Chichester.
We make the most of the great outdoors, enjoying Chichester Harbour and the beach at the Witterings. We are very "outdoorsy" as we camp in tents with very few luxuries in a field with no electricity. The children thrive on the fresh air and fun activity, as they are outside and busy from the moment they wake up until they go to bed. |
